Born in 1958 in Birmingham, Alabama, Wilbur's story is not just one of academic and professional excellence but a testament to the power of dreams fueled by passion and dedication.
Educational Journey
Wilbur's journey in aerospace engineering began at Auburn University, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree. Hungry for knowledge, Wilbur furthered his education in Aerospace and Land Development through courses across various universities in California, laying a solid foundation for his illustrious career.
Family Professional Milestones
Wilbur's career took flight at Hughes Aircraft Space and Communications Group, where he excelled as a project engineer. He was instrumental in the integration and testing of advanced naval communication satellites, later overseeing the acquisition and procurement of weather satellites for the US Air Force and NASA. His service as an Astronautical Engineer in the US Air Force further showcases his commitment to advancing space exploration.
Community Development
Beyond the cosmos, Wilbur's impact is felt on the ground. With a general contractor license in hand, he has led projects to construct new homes in low-income areas of Los Angeles County, illustrating his commitment to community upliftment and urban revitalization.
